Ignore the blown head gasket comment, the fluid is most likely to be water from your windscreen washers! ( common problem ) Either use silicon sealant under the washer connector on the underside of the bonnet or buy the replacement set of washer jets from Ford who DO know about this problem and did a recall on cars up to 03/53 plate. Change the plugs first and if u still have the missfire, change the leads, if this doesn't sure it, then lastly change the coil pack, ( around £30 for a coil from a motor factors ). I just had this same problem!

If there is coolant around the spark plugs, where is it coming from,do you have a leaky hose?that could cause your misfire,if the coolant is coming up past the spark plugs(they may be loose)it shouldn't,I reckon your head gasket is blown, take it to a garage,it costs nothing for their opinion unless they do the work,DON'T mention head gasket,if they suspect it they will tell you(then we're both right)Take it in be humble SUGGEST NOTHING and be prepared for the bill.
