2009 Corsa :-I was unfortunate/ stupid enough to put mr wipers on during the recent freezing weather. Wipers were frozen to screen but moved a bit. Now that the cold weather has gone my wiper blades appear lower down than usual and when operating the one in front of the driver hits the pillar and also the plastic at the bottom of the windscreen. The problem is intermittent, its actually ok when he screen is dry (not really a lot of use!) but is really bad once the screen is wet. I've obviously bent/ dislodged something and happy to give anything a try before taking it in for a pro to look at, tut and part me from my cash. Any ideas?
i had exactly the same problem!! i took mine to the garage yday and the mechanic fixed it for free!! took 5 minutes! the mechanic says when you put the wipers on when the screens frozen it puts the wiper arm out of allignment.
there is a 13mm nut that holds the wiper arm onto the spindle. take the cap off the nut, loosen the nut off, then push down on the arm and pull it towards the bonnet aswell. then tighten up the nut again and problem solved!!

I did exactly the same. Try removing the wiper completely and look along it from the hole end. Mine had clockwise twist in it, so I clamped the hole end in a vice, pulled the arm back on the spring so it was 90deg, and gently twisted it back clockwise so that the hole end looked parallel with the rest of the dog-leg and hey presto no more knock. Worth a try.

I have exactly the same problem, did you get your sorted? If so, what was the outcome? Cheers.

happy to try new wipers but told that on new corsa they are £40+. Not sure this is the answer though as the bottom of the wiper arm was also touching the edge of my bonnet, thankfully it hasn't taken paint off and I have moved it a fraction by releasing nut, lifting off spindle and putting back on a fraction higher. If wiper was bent surely it would hit either at top or bottom of travel- it hits on both.

Buy new blades and fit them. easy to do. you may of lost a clip or bent the metal, just bend back. Do it your self it is really simple
