My hoover PE235 Special Edition decided to double up as a smoke machine the other night which was rather annoying. I have taken the back off of it and I think I have found the problem. I have taken out a white cylindrical devise which I believe to be some form of power regulator. The model number on it is FLCR 630501. This looks rather broken. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement part for it

The machine does work with out one but you will cause rfi. Interfearence to radio and television services which is an offence.
Get a new one fitted.

This was probebly not a power regulator, but a suppressor. The machine will possibly work without it.
