the speedo has stopped working on my 2001 1.2 corsa sxi what do i need to check

dont know if this will help. have info from a 2000 corsa.speedo works off a speed sensor not a cable. this is fed by fuse f18 20amps located below steering wheel in the fusebox hidden under a pull off plastic cover.fuse position is marked inside cover. hope this points you in the right direction.
