why, o why will my car not start? ?

i have a '95 n reg citroen ax 1.0 elation. its a mono-point injection engine. it ran and started fine until i didnt run it for a day or so during the cold extreme cold weather we had (uk) . i hadnt topped up with anti-freeze( i know,i know,D'oh! )so obviously it had frozen up. Before i realised it was frozen, i had tried to start it as normally but obviously it didnt do anything. i first thought it was just a dead battery, so tried a little bump start, again nothing. it was this point i went to remove battery for charging and realised all my pipes etc had frozen up. so simply covered engine in blanket and left to thaw out. we are talking a near full two weeks later before temp has risen enough for me to check if car will start. fully charged battery hooked up, i go to start engine but all it does is turn over and over but no fire up at all. i have petrol, i have spark from distributor coil, starter motor working and my cambelt is intact. it just will not fire up.everything else works electrics etc. could it simply be some sensor damaged by the weather??? please any advice as to what to check/try

Just a few thoughts taking into account the engine cylinder block was frozen have you checked to see if there is water in the oil or oil in the water signs of a failed gasket cracked casting.
Also is there any engine compression -very basic check of taking out each spark plug and establishing compression on each cylinder by turning engine over on starter motor.
Also water(in the form of melted snow/ice) may have got into electrics at some point

Not sure if the water pump on these is driven by the cam belt, but if it is you may have stripped teeth from the belt. You need to check the cam timing.
