Suzuki x5?

I have an old x5 suzuki that has been standing in my shed for quite a while now. I want to get it running. I got as a project years ago and never got round to doing anything to it. Long story. I have a manual.
Where do I start to even attempt to run the thing!!

I used to have an x5 or gt200 as its also known, they are electric start as far as i remember a nice little two stroke twin, anyway the carbs will no doubt need to be taken apart and cleaned out the jets and float and needle will beall gunked up with dried emulsified fuel, get some good carb cleaner and a bit of scotchbrite and a blowgun and give them a good cleaning out fit a new pair of plugs and empty the tank and put some fresh unleaded in it a new battery it will more then likely start after a few kicks or a press of the button !get the stink wheels on the road

You start by checking it has oil in,petrol and oil if it is a 2 stroke, pressing the kick starter a few times to make sure the engine isn't seized with the ignition off,fit a new battery(follow instructions and charge it up first)then ignition on and kick it,it may well fire up you don't know,it doesn't have to get involved if you start here don't mess with it until you know what it is like now,see if it's a "runner" first.Good luck I think you may be asking a few more questions before your finished.
