suzuki bandit 600 1996 chain suddenly gone tight ?

i have a 1996 n bandit 600 done about 30k miles few days ago chain has suddenly gone tight some one said could need new chain and sprockets becauuse chain has sezed up can the chain be fixed with lubricant or do i need to replace chains and sprockets

I would check the sprockets,if they are worn you will see that the points on the sprocket are hooked(probably pointing anti-clockwise)that means the chain is not falling into the sprocket but riding over the top making the chain tight,or the chain is stretched,I would change the lot,the problem is caused by fierce pick up when you pull away quickly.
