how to disconnect a panic button from my veritas alarm?

i would like to know how to disconnect a panic buttomn from my veritas alarm the button is on the top of the stairs and it uses zone six i carnt open the panel as it sets the alarm off i just want to disconnect the panic button

Hi Paul if your happy to leave the panic button where it is, you can isolate the button by removing the cover, and twist the pair going to the reed together. If you want to remove it totally, just read Death's post.

sorry paul but you will be opening the panel if you want to disconnect the panic button look for z6 in the panel and take the wires out this might sound the alarm cut about 3 cm of wire off the two wires you took out and loop z6 save the two wires as panic button
