bottom end timeing pin escort van?

i recently fitted a new engine in my escort van i left the bottem lockin pin in the engine and turned the engine over and snaped the pin the broken lockin pin has fell into the sump will the broken peice of lockin pin be all right in the sump

as long as the pin has dropped to the bottom of the sump it shouldn't do any harm. but removing the sump isn't normally a big job anyway, so i would play it safe & get it out.
