How to remove back to replace water valve on GW52-F?

I need to replace my cold water valve on the Fisher and Paykel GW52-F washer, but I cannot get the back off. I am trying to remove the back at the top, where the water valves are showing. It appears to be firmly attached to the front console, even though I have unscrewed every screw I can see. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Maryanne,

I have the same model and have just done this. There are screws at the back top panel but you also have to remove your lid to get to the screws that secure the front panel. Insert a screwdriver where the lid is connected, gently insert pressure on the screwdriver to push lid to the other side. That side should pop out where it is connected. Be careful when doing this as you may break the lid. Once you have this side out, the other side should pop out. Remove the lid and you will see the screws you will need to remove.

Slow down, stop & think about what you are doing. Wouldn't it make more sense to take the front console off. Put back all the screws you have removed. Then remove lid. Then remove the 6 screws holding the console & pull it forward. You can now access the water valve.
