1997 Renault Clio 1.2?

gone to car to fit new radio, opened C/L with key fob, fitted radio got out of the car pressed key fob to lock up "Nothing" will not operate immobiliser or C/L, took key fob to Renault dealers £13.36 later key is OK. any solution please.

found problem, it was the receiver senser . £40 at renault dealer.

the problem would appear to be linked to the fitting of the radio. remove the radio & check the wiring. are there any spare wires? some factory fitted radio's are linked to the anti theft/alarm system on some cars.
