how can i fix my beko CDA647 FW?

how can i fix my beko fridgefreezer. does not chill or freeze anymore yet light does come on. it does make a very low level humming noise when turned on(like it is trying to kick in) but never gets cold/frozen.

Hi guys .. I had the same problem with my Beko , and I have just fixed it using the answer from CK.. Awesome .. saved me lots of hand wringing, cash and most of all, My Partner thinks I'm the bees knees ..

we had the same issue as kenty and one click clockwise appears to have sorted it....... the moment it happens again we will replace the defrost timer

when you switch it on does the compressor try and then click off.I don't think it is the compressor you hear I think its the air fan inside whirring away.now to help you fix it.

If you go around to the back and look at the compressor then look slightly to your left and you should see a plastic square box mounted to the back wall.in the middle you should see a round cap.prise off cap.under there is a defrost timer.put a flat screwdriver in to the hole and rotate it clockwise and see if the compressor starts up.if it does then the defrost timer is faulty and needs replacing.around £10
