my heater doesn't give hot air. i have changed the thermostat and the pipes do get hot but still giving cold air. what would i need to check ?

Could be the Heater Valve. If your heater has stopped delivering hot air and you can still hear the motor working, the chances are your heater valve has packed up. Follow the heater hoses from the engine towards the interior of the vehicle, remove the hoses on the front and rear of the valve, pull the valve from its slot - it's not bolted in. Good luck!
