I have a Shakespeare, ugly stick tiger fiberglass salt water rod with a broken ring in the tip. how do I remove the old guide so I can put on a new one without damaging the fiberglass shaft?
heat up the eye with a flame and at the same time pull on the eye with a pair off pliers, it will come off,remember to heat the eye and not the shaft!!!! the glue will melt and it will come off easy...
