Hi my Sky jet rev counter has stopped working bought one off e bay replaced the unit but it still will not function, any ideas would be greatfully recieved.

I have the same problem on my lads bike and the unit i bought as a replacement was stated as working, so i am going to look at the feed signal for the tacho, which i think comes direct off the coil, if this is faulty then no new unit will work. most electronic tachos take a pulse feed from the HT lead as a signal across an induced magnetis field, hence the voltage to the tacho unit. I will let you know how i get on.

hi
it is electronic with three cables coming off it
1. black which appears to be constant live on the test of the bike
2. yellow/ black which is dead until bike is started
3. green which has power when tested

are you sure you fitted it right? take off agian and then put it back.
