when i start my car the left indicator comes on in the off position,after tapping the end it sometimes goes off then comes back on when driving and only goes off when i indicate right

Mine did exactly the same thing. Its a x reg 1.4. Simply remove the indicator stalk, takes about 5 mins with the correct "star" driver. Gently spray the innards and the termials with wd40, clean any residue and replace. Mine has worked perfect for nearly 5 years. But now got speedo problem.
