this fan (the 1 under the door filters?) circulates the air but does not pump any water, that is done by the condensate pump. if the fan is broken though you will get water buid-up in this area. to get at it you need to swing open the front panel, remove the fill ring & the fixing screws for the fan. things to watch: the fill ring falls off, if it does not there are screws hiding (6 & 12 o'clock), the drum drive belt is attached to the back of this motor/fan & can be a mongrel to re-fit without the right tools. get the fan from Miele direct, if you could get after market fans the hassle you will go through is not worth the couple of dollars you might save. this is possibly 1 for the professional.
