My Samsung D500 screen does not light up -HELP?

after changing my case on my Samsung D500 the lcd will not light up
i have checked ribbon cable and everything looks ok .
the phone works apart from this problem.
you can see the screen working but in darkness

have you tried going into settings and then display settings then lcd brightness because it might be on the lowest brightness?
