How do I replace a Citroen C3 cooling fan?

The cooling fan is unserviceable and needs replacing. Can anyone say how complex a job this is for the averagely-competent DIYer?. A workshop estimate is for £270 labour. This suggests that it is a fairly time-consuming process. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has actually done the job.

have a quick blast round to your local library, read up in the car manual section, see whats involved in the change.
garages like marking prices HIGH for labour costs have been quoted £55 per half hour labour ,i walked away and found a way to do the job myself, maybe not as quick but job was certainly done right.
