how do i remove my ignition barrel on a gilera runner sp 125

Hi is all the ignition on gilera runners the same because i have a 05 one and a 56 one but im useing all the parts off my 05 plate one to put on my 56 plate can you help me please

to do it properly you need to take the forks out !the two halves of the ignition locks are either side of the steering stem and the front part is the part that holds the ignition barrel in not the bit with on /off on it though, it goes through that part and there is a small v shaped clip that holds it inside the first piece of the ignitions steering lock component,it can be removed without taking the stem out using a pick in the small slot in the frame where the lock goes through but its very fiddly and also a nightmare to put back in as the clip needs to be in a certain place for it to click back together properly.get stuck ?mail me on here ok
