Ford galaxy drivers door central locking fault?

Can anyone help please, I have to get in and out of my ford galaxy via the passenger door as my drivers door central locking fails to operate? any ideas please would be greatly received.

check the wires in the rubber bit that goes from the car to the drivers door.broken wiring is a common issue
