check connections under the front seats especially if the car has 2 drivers, and the seat has to be adjusted because of the their height difference, the connection under the seat may need to be adjuster forward/backward so the wire cable is not under tension
the same problem can occur with tip and slide seats to allow passengers into the rear of 2 door cars .
