i have a 2002 iveco 75 e17 tector and on idle there is a lot of vibration and rattles but if you just touch the accelerator and slightly raise the revs its as smooth as anything
My 75e17 is the same, loud, rattly when idling, smooth and quiet when you touch the pedal Its always done it, I just thought it was the cheap plastic interior??

I developed that on my 75E15 then a few months later it died completely.
I was advised to change all filter on the fuel side (pre & fuel), air filter. In my case it hasn't changed anything.
Just got a new lift / injector pump seems it was on its way out & finally went...

if it has cruise control you can adjust the idle speed ,if not you're local dealer can do it
