How do you reset the key fob on a renault clio after changing the batteries?

How do you reset the key fob on a renault clio after changing the batteries in key fob? Its a 1.2 Clio 03 plate and im having great difficulty! I dont want to pay silly money at the garage.

I had the same problem with my nissan two days ago, make sure you are using the master key, switch the ignition on for five seconds then place it in the lock position for five seconds, it should then start,(it took me 5 attempts)
