husqvarna 55?

How do you change a grooved pin in the oil system on a 55.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE PUMP SHAFT ITSELF? IF SO TO REMOVE THIS YOU MUST FIRST REMOVE THE CLUTCH AND SPROCKET ( CLUTCH SHOULD BE JARRED OFF AGAINST COMPRESSION, 15MM NUT ON HUB, LEFT HAND THREAD ) TAKE AWAY THE 8MM HEADED BOLT HOLDING THE BAR PAD PROTECTION PLATE, THE PUMP ASSEMBLY WILL THEN JUST PULL OUT, IT MAY BE A LITTLE TIGHT BUT THERE IS NOTHING ELSE HOLDING IT IN, THERE ARE TWO SLOTS IN THE WHITE PLASTIC COVER TO ASSIST PULLING OUT.

Not 100% sure which pin you are refering too, there is a pin pressed into the crankcase, it actuates the throw on the pump shaft, i am guessing this is what you mean? i have never had to replace one of these pins, there is just nothing to go wrong with it other than if it should fall out. To remove the pin it is just a case of grabbing it with a suitable pair of pliers and pulling it out, to replace it, you just need to drift it back in, the pt no. of the pin is 721121040.
