central locking?

I have a vauxhall astra club 1600 year2003,the central
locking is only working when i put key into door,it will not work when i press button on key.I have replaced
the battery on key and it still does not work, can you
please advise me of how i can have it repaired.

Remote may just need to be re-synchronised to the car.

Turn ignition on (dash lights on, dont start engine) press button on key, doors should lock then unlock, remote should now work as normal.
