How do I remove a front washer jet on a ford focus?

My 05 Ford Focus does not spray water from the washer jets on the drivers side, one nozzle comes out very febly, the other not at all. I have established that the plastic jet is the bit that is blocked. I have used a needle to no avail. I have also removed the L-shaped pipe that supllies water and used an aerosol with a straw attached to it to try and blast it out, this also has not worked. I wish to take this off and clean out properly. Does anybody have advice on how to remove it, or an alternative to what I have described.

Help and advice would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Thanks for that but i have tried various sizes of needles/pins and this still has not worked

The jets are very probably blocked with limescale deposits from hard water - pushing a pin in the hole may clear it but it only pushes the crud back into the tubes so it can block again.

I use half a cup of Viakal in the tank and a top up with water - sometimes it clears in 20 minutes but more usually 24 hours - others say Cillit Bang works but it didn't for me.

Viakal goes in very easy - much easier than taking the car apart.

Good luck...

Hi, try a pin, a needle is too large.
