I have aproblem with BT 2150 Synergy phone, the handset keep saying 'search?

I have aproblem with BT 2150 Synergy phone, the handset keep saying 'searching'?
I cannot use the phone to dial out or receiving a call.

its either the batteries that need replacing or the fact that the handset needs to be reregistered to the base . if either of these dont work it means that the base station is u/s .

Sounds like the handset isn't 'paired' with the base station.
