If you must purchase a 13mm socket get a 6 sided one as the cheap 12 sided ones will eventually round of the head of the sump plug if it's been over tightened as the material used to manufacture the sump plug tends to be inferior. Always change the sealing washer on the plug, as they tend to leak when used a few times. When you fit the new filter, put a little clean oil on the seal, tighten the filter finger tight then add about a quarter of a turn just to nip it up, do not over tighten as the next time you come to remove it you will probably have to stick a screwdriver through it to get it off. Never put a filter on dry as the seal may kink and when you start the engine you will end up with all your expensive clean oil on your drive.
