wheel bearings?

i have a Laguna 22dci when i turn the car left whilst driving i hear a rumbling from the right side, the sound gets worse as i increase speed. is it a wheel bearing? do i change both sides if it is? and does it have to go to the garage to get fixed?

to check wheel bearings, jack up which ever wheel, hold tyre top and bottom and rock it in and out,is there excessive play.spin wheel, does the bearing sound dry or rough.if yes its duff.if you have some knowledge of cars a haynes type manual and the tools you can save yourself some cash, but if in doubt dont.always best to change both.
