creda 37747 tumble dryer thermal cut out switches help?

There are 4 wires of different colours and there are 2 cut out switches one is marked with a red dot and has to go on a certain side obviously but my partner didnt bother drawing himself a sketch when he took them off to remind him where they went does anyone else have any help or can open there machine and write exactly the way theres are connected. We have already blew the thermal cut out switched that we bought and replaced they worked once so I take it we had them the wrong way round or attached wrong.

Also, my stat was the red dot on the LEFT and the other on the right was unmarked.

Tried the paperclip technique and it worked a treat. My particular stat was moulded with the hole in place ready to be reset. The stat disk should be convex but mine was concave and open circuit. By pushing the wire in it clicked convex again and became closed circuit. Dryer works a great now. Thanks.

you can reset the stat by carefully drilling a small hole between the terminals with a slow speed drill and reseting with a paper clip
