One of the two "trunk struts" in my Jaguar XJ8 has gone bad causing the trunk to fall striking me in the head numberous times. Maybe I have a concussion, but I think this is probably an easy repair, something I do not need to pay the dealership $250.00 to do.

Can anyone give me step by step directions as to how to remove the bad trunk strut, and then how to replace the new strut? Thanks.
