not sure of fiat set up, but make sure calliper slides are free, and also check that brake pedal return spring is ok,if it has a crosshaft to servo [ie if pedal on o/s and servo mounted on n/s] make sure all yokes/pins etc are free - have known on other makes for this linkage to become very tight causing same problem, especially if you are near coast with salt air. hope this is of help to you.
