my tumble dryer (Beko DRVS62w) is not working properly!?

Hello, we bought this tumble dryer Beko DRVS62w about three months ago, however everytime i want to put it onto the sythetic cycle(ready to wear) and i place half a load of washing into it it starts for around 5_20 seconds then stops. it is now also doing the same thing on the cotton ready to wear cycle too, don't know what to do, please if any one has any helpful suggestions!

put new felt strip around drum plus clips and belt, new belt. put back together but is sparking at connections top right of machine even when just plugged in and not using. all connections were disconnected including 2 on back panel could this cause sparking if put back wrong. Works and heats up but sparks so had to turn off

Unplug the dryer.Pop your head inside the drum, at the bottom (6 o clock ) just under the removable filter you will find a cover containing 2 metal strips, remove this by means of unscrewing the 2 recessed screws, turn it around and you are likely to find it clogged up with fluff. Clean this off with a small brush, re-assemble. Just may do the trick, mine did!

There is a design fault with the rear of the drum... at the back of the drum there is a mild steel plate with holes and then there is a round heavy duty disc with spigots on it which locate from the casing to the drum.

After 1 years mild use and never overloading the machine the drum on its stop-go in the other direction has worn this plates holes to an oval shape which makes the large belt slack and then the belt snaps. [caution on overheating].

I have repaired using (high temp) liquid metal weld on the spigots and refitted to the drum. Left for 24 hours to set. The machine now has been running for 18 months with no problems.

Remember to wipe the chrome sensor just inside the door with vinegar.

I also had the same syptomns, but there was no blockage or lint in my pipe......on a hunch i unscrewed the sensir bar ( once unplugged from the mains) and found it to be packed with lint behind it. i disconected it carefully by the 2 spade connectors, removed the lint and gave it a wipe and it now works as new again.

Our new Beko tumble dryer wouldn't dry either. The remedy was simple and embarrassing. I had connected the new dryer to the old vent hose, but on using the new hose and cleaning the vent outlet thoroughly it now works fine. I concluded that it wasn't venting properly and because of that it upset the sensors.

hi, my beko is not heating up BUT it is not the heating element in as such as every thing is working as it should be, when tested, but not getting hot. any idea before i dump it as a really bad investment??

put a full load of wet heavy bath towels in and try it.As you open the door at 6 o clock position there is 2 stainless bars.these are the sensors for the auto drying.if there isn't contact with these bars during the dry cycle it stops as it thinks everything is dry.by testing with full wet bath towels will tell you if the sensing circuit is working.too smaller loads of synthetics and nylons can have the effect of stopping before they dry.I think its in the fault finding page in the manual??
