Why does the softner compartment on my hotpoint aquarius wd420 not empty of water after a wash? I've cleaned it loads and have to keep emptying it after a wash?

if the conditioner remains in then its not
the conditioner is simply sent out by being diluted with the incoming water which starts a siphon effect from the tray to the machine.If pick up pipe not touching bottom its impossible to empty drawer
