check the earth cables between engine & battery & body. if you have a bad earth it may try to earth through accelerator cable & clutch cable

Clean inside the throttle body using an aerosol tin of throttle cleaner. The butterfly valve flap is sticking. It may be worth removing the throttle and cleaning it properly.

If your car is the Lexus or toyota model with the recall notice for sticking accelerator pedals, I should get down to your main dealer PDQ! If not , then you may need to start looking separately at the operation of the pedal pivot preferrably without cable connected as this puts tension on the pedal & will make it harder to see if pivot is sticky or not then check the cable itself for free movement, this'll be easier if it's disconnected, you should be able to push/pull it easily, then check injector/carb linkage under the bonnet for smoothe op. & is free from obstructions.Spray linkage/pivots sparingly with wd40/duck oil anyway,Hope this helps.
