how can i fix my rear demister?

my 1996 peugeot 1.4 xl rear demister does not work. under investigation i found the contact to the windscreen had come away. is there anyway of putting it back on.

there is a kit for repairing demisters on ebay costs about £12 .try halfords. may have to pool the fluid to get a contact to fix back on.
