HOW CAN I CORRECT THIS PROBLEM?

I HAVE A WESTMINISTER CHIME CLOCK AND THE CHIMES ARE NOT IN SYNC. FROM TWELVE O'CLOCK TO ONE O'CLOCK IT CHIMES TWELVE TIMES. FROM ONE O'CLOCK TO SEVEN O'CLOCK IT IS OFF BY ONE HOUR. FROM EIGHT O'CLOCK UP TO TWELVE IT CHIMES TWELVES TIMES. I NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN CORRECT THIS PROBLEM OR IF IT NEEDS REPAIR. I DO NOT KNOW THE MAKE OF THIS CLOCK.

This sounds like a rack and snail type of strike mechanism. It also sounds like they are not meshing properly so to speak. If you can remove the movement and look at the front you may be able to figure it out.
