Looxor 50 TSDI 2 stroke runs for approx 5 miles then cuts out?

Hi my 2004 Peugeot looxor 50 cc TSDI moped runs for approx 5 -6 miles then just cuts out as if ignition turned off.

The kickstart after stopping is hard to push.

After a while approx 2-3 hours the bike then starts and seems to run fine. However I cannot road test it as I was taking it up for its mot when it packed up.

I removed the spark plug-it was black as if running rich and there was an unusual smell from the spark plug.

As it has no mot i cannot test it on the road (catch 22)

It has had a new piston, new spark plug and new battery.

when it runs it runs sweet-standard bike, exhaust not de-restricted-no known mods

Hi guys I have a peugeot looxor 125 and after leaving it still for a day it would be difficult to start. It did it alot of times and found that it was the battery. I checked for leak and it's giving me about 4ma from earth terminal to negative when it's led lights. Is this ok with these scooters?
Thanks

sounds like its seizing up im afraid, who replaced the piston and did they check the oil pump as they do go wrong even if it is the electronic one which it is on this model.i would have the head off and have a look down the bore and up the exhaust prt to see the conditon of the piston,if a shop changed it then take it back to them,in the meantime add some oil to the petrol and shake it about a bit this will give it the lube its crying out for.
