air lock in engine/new thermostat/still overheating?

have air lock in citroen picasso 2.0 hdi diesel.fitted new thermostat and bled the system via the 2 bleeder valves.engine overheats and when i open reservoir cap a hot rush of water escapes apparently under pressure.any ideas.
