white Knight tumble dryer CL847 heater off after 1 min?

Heater relay switches off power to heater after 1 minute and never comes back on. Any ideas why it is being switched off.

it has a brush, seems ok, 1/2 inch of carbon left

if it has a sensor brush it might of worn out.take lid off and have a look to see if it has a carbon brush assembly on the top of the drum
