Hotpoint FFA70 Freezer Door fault?

Door not closing fully, freezer is completely ice free , food is starting to thaw slightly as freezer not at full temp due to door not firmly closed, there is no reason other than no suction on door when closed. Can anyone please tell me a reason why this has happened and how i can fix it. Thank you .

i've had this problem.there is a build up of ice behind the fan housing.turn unit off.remove trays.undo and remove 4 screws.let unit defrost.this can be speeded up by use of a hair dryer(not reccomended as water and electricity dont mix well).gently remove fan housing, you will find a big build up of ice.when fully defrosted, re-assemble.turn unit back on.

Hello,
I also have this problem and, again, the appliance is 5 years old. It's almost as if the rear of the freezer has moved forward!!?
