how to fix it?

my sunroof in my rover25 is very weak and will not open the roof all the way and i have not got the manual wrench to open it any suggestions

Suggest that when it is open you clean the runners and apply silicone spray to the runners. With the engine running(as this gives the optimum power supply to the electric motor) operate the roof a few times to work the silicone in
