ive just put new starter motor on a 1986 escort xr3i convertiable it started ok but after driving for less tah a mile it sounded like it hadnt disengaged...... any ideas?
is it wired correctly?if so then check ign switch is not sticking or starter relay faulty.[what was original fault with starter.]also make sure small solenoid wire,from ign ,has not chaffed through main starter lead from battery.
