hi,i have a pink psp phat with black screen,no back light not even a glimmer of a screen even when i hold it up to the light,iv tried replacing the screen and still the same,is there a fuse i can bridge?or maybe something more serious?please hlp
Then the screen is broken.
Sometimes a small crack, not visible on the screen area can have this effect.
Replacing the screen is not difficult BUT - if you are ordering the part yourself get the LCD Screen with the backlight complete. Make sure you do not damage the board connector for the flexi cable.
Through a repairer is will cost £40 - £55, subject to repairer

When you first switch the console on, does the green power light stay on for 30 secs. & then go out?
If so the console is bricked.
This is a software problem relating to the BIOS Firmware and is recoverable. Specialist software is needed.
