Husqvarna L125 trimmer won't start?

Was using the trimmer and stopped to refill gas. Now when I pull on the starter cord It only pulls out about 6". Is the engine seized up? Is there some simple way to tell?

The simple way to check is to remove the starter and try to turn the flwheel by hand, it sounds more like a starter issue, this machine has a soft start, it winds up a second spring in the starter, which when it over comes the engine compression it helps to spin the engine over. If the spring ends have straightened out it will not turn the engine over at all, this is where i would be looking.
