The primer bulb pulls fuel from the carb into the bulb, and from the bulb back into the fuel tank. The pipe from the tank with the fuel filter on the end, goes to the carb elbow nearest to the pump cover ( held with one philips screw ) a pipe then runs from the carb elbow nearest to the metering cover ( cover held with four screws ) to the suction side of the bulb ( shortest pipe ) a pipe then runs from the pressure side of the bulb ( longest pipe ) back into the fuel tank.
