How do I change the N/S (dipped beam) headlight on a Peugeot 206 (Reg'd 55)?

The nearside dipped beam (single filament) has blown and needs replacing. A quick look under the bonnet did not reveal anything simple. How do you go about changing the bulb? Is it a job for a "do-it-your-self" novice?

On models with ABS it may be necessary to remove the L/H headlamp completely to gain access to the bulb. Haynes manual 4613 explains the full procedure but you'll need the beam alignment resetting at a suitably equipped garge after you've done it.
Might be best to leave the job to a garage.
