There is no gas getting to the top rings, is it something to do with the lid, the spark ignition is o.k.

my cooker only is letting a bit of gas through on the oven and on one of the top rings and is there anything i can do ? is it the switch ?

At the rear left hand side of the hotplate is a gas-valve connected to the lid, this tends to get greasy and gets stuck in the 'off' position. I have found that regular cleaning of the plate & the on / off valve and pushing the cut off switch up & down repeatedly should be the answer.
