Suspected suspension noise on my Mondeo Ghia MK2 (W reg) Saloon?

I have a knocking noise from the front (suspension suspected) when driving. Possibly worn bushes? Any ideas & if so how do I fix it. Many thanks. Derek

the front suspension is supported with the aid of two bushes and a bottom ball joint in a triangle effect[a wishbone]you can purchase the whole assembly from a good motorfactors it comes with bushes already in and ball joint connected.to change is quite difficult.remove witch ever wheel the knocking is coming from and support car.remove track rod end remove pinch bolt witch passes through stub axle and holds bottom ball joint follow the wishbone frame to underneath engine bay there are two bushes held by a central bolt[in an up an down]position remove the central bolts remove bottom ball joint from stub axle wish bone will pull out from situ.replace is reversal only attemp if you are mechanicaly minded if not take to garage save you time and effort. good luck m8
